Stunning and beautiful. I don't know how to describe this, but I find it as a very emotional work, it has a feeling of nostalgia for the child in all of us. Really lovely, glad this has a very well deserved DD , if not, I wouldn't been able to see this wonderful work.
This is my daughter, the tree stands behind her elementary school and they used to play on it at recess. The cat was her first pet and dear friend. The books, her passion and escape. The Unicorn, her fantasy. This was a piece I had drawn out when she was about 12, then it lay as a sketch for about nine years until I found an opportunity to paint it. I think it captures her spirit and character wonderfully.
... Wow.... That's fricking amazing!.. all the details!! I swear if it wasn't for the unicorn I'd think it were a picture... although... lolz..... It kind reminds me of Alice in Wonderland, and Annie.... and another thing that i can't quite place.... It defiantly takes me back to when i was younger though....
OMG I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR YOU FOR YEARS YOU ARE MY LONG LOST BEST FRIEND. DO YOU REMEMBER ME????? WE ACCIDENTALLY BUMPED INTO EACH OTHER AT THE STORE AND YOU WERE LIKE "Oops, sorry" AND I WAS ALL "Pssh it's okay" AND WE WERE TOTALLY BESTIES. PLEASE SAY YOU REMEMBER ME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What do you mean for a mere mortal? And what do you mean by you suppose? Loki, you have no idea how hard it is to be found as an amazing artist on this website, let alone receive a DD.~ Kayla
I suppose I don't know how hard it is, but the fact remains...~Loki
The fact remains in your mind Loki...the shading is perfect, the dress is outstanding, the cat has fur texture, the books seem to have volume in them, the unicorn has perfect muscle structure and the way it's body flows is amazing, not to mention the proportion of sizes from cat to girl to unicorn are exact. I'm not sure I have to say anything about the tree, that stand up for it's self. (literally) So just leave this Deviant alone Loki.~Kayla
Fine but I could go on about your work Kayla dear!~Loki
Bash on me, but not on this great, hard working, talented artist Loki. You deserved the DD so much. Congrats ~Kayla
[Sorry about the conversation up there, but I hope you understand what is going on...if not try visiting my page to get a sense of who I am. Congrats on the well earned DD!]
Loki: one half of my brain that writes like Loki Kayla: me!
You seem like a very nice person judging by your page, however I feel that these conversations you have between yourself and "Loki" might not exactly be the best way to show the artist how much you appreciate their creative talents. I love Loki too but I think what you doing is mostly going to confuse people.
